COVID-19 ski resort response and recovery timeline
With the 2019.2020 ski season coming to an abrupt end around the globe, many ski resort marketers have been left wondering how they, and an entire industry, can begin to work towards a new 'normal'. Although there may be no clear answer at this point in time, there are steps that resort marketing teams can take to ensure that they are setting themselves up for the best chance of emerging successfully from this crisis.
Origin's strategy team got together to provide anyone keeping a close eye on the resort industry with some rational thinking on the next best steps as we continue to navigate the uncertain waters of the COVID-19 crisis. Upon initial analysis, we came to the realization that there likely would not be one clear path to recovery that would fit all, and instead opted to provide a clear sequence of evaluative steps that could provide a solid platform from which to determine action.
